Long Distance Trails Crew

Long Path Tallman Mountain Worktrip
Sunday, June 16, 2024
8:30am-3:00pm

On Friday June 14th, Saturday June 15th and Sunday June 16th, the Long Distance Trails Crew will continue the work of rehabilitating the Long Path at the north end of Tallman Mountain. We are building a long series of stone steps.

Please come out and join us. You'll be glad you did.

Please RSVP to [email protected] with the day(s) you would like to join in so we can set expectations regarding likely crew strength and we will be able to keep you informed of any changes.

We will meet at public parking lot D in Piermont, NY. The entrance is on Gair Street.

Use these GPS numbers: (41.0404860, -73.9141263), which will take you to the entrance of lot D.

Depending on the number of sign-ups, some crew members may be asked to work at a different location.  There are a few small repair projects we want to address, but none of them require a large crew. Nonetheless, we will all meet in Piermont at Lot D.

MANDATORY:  Bring water, work gloves, snacks for break time and your lunch.

Safety glasses and hard hats are required. Please bring those if you have them. If you do not have your own, safety glasses and hard hats will be provided. Also recommended: long sleeve shirt, long pants and sturdy shoes/work boots.

Required Paperwork: Please complete the Volunteer Service Agreement prior to coming out for the work day.

If you have any questions or concerns, please call Chris Reyling at (914) 953-4900.
